Appliance Fire; INC#1166; 06:06PM; Terminal 5 - Los Angeles International Airport; ; LAX; Firefighters arrived quickly at the coffee shop near Gate 50 to find light smoke coming from a refrigerator and an apparent fire already extinguished within that appliance. There was no formal evacuation and no injury. The Fire Department is unaware of any impact on LAX operations. LAFD crews are using Fire Department portable ventilation fans to remove a light haze and slight smoke odor in the immediate area only.
