CONTAINED - Brush Fire; INC#1466; 07:56PM; 6400 N Balboa Bl; ; #LakeBalboa; First arriving 50 ground-based LAFD firefighters, assisted by LAFD helicopter water drops, took just 52 minutes to access, confine and fully contain flames within a 200' x 75' area of grass and heavy brush at the west end of the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area near Lake Balboa. No injury. No infra/structure damage. No evacuation. Firefighters will remain at scene this evening to handle hotspots and complete extinguishment.
