Hazardous Materials Investigation; INC#0999; 01:23PM; 649 S Mission Rd; ; #BoyleHeights; PRELIM: LAFD crews, including a Hazardous Materials team, are working with railroad officials to manage an approximately 5 gallon-per-minute leak of a clear corrosive liquid from one rail car among those in a currently stopped BNSF freight train. The adult male witness (unknown site affiliation) who reported the leak, is being medically evaluated at scene by LAFD Paramedics for non-specific illness. There are no other patients. As a precaution, the railroad adjacent industrial area has been isolated for 150' in all directions as LAFD and BNSF personnel work to stop the leak and address any on-site hazard.
