Hiker Rescue - Interagency Hoist Op; INC#1009; 04:22PM; 2100 Queensferry Rd; ; Brentwood; Firefighter / Paramedics made their way to an adult male patient who is stable but in serious condition and unable to walk (non-traumatic medical complaint). The terrain/location is not conducive to a safe ground based rescue. LAFD Air Ops was in the process of a hoist/transport of an injured hiker on a separate incident therefore a LA Co Sheriff helicopter was requested. LASD Air 5 is closer than the LAFD hoist helicopter and will conduct the hoist operation supported by LAFD firefighters on the ground and LAFD command helicopter.
