KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0739; 11:52AM; 7317 W Hawthorn Av; ; #Hollywood; The first 24 LAFD firefighters took 18 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames in a two-story L-shaped center hallway apartment building. No one required evacuation, but were encouraged to remain in their units with doors closed to escape the smoke ("shelter-in-place"). Firefighters kept the fire to the unit-of-origin. One patient (elderly female) was evaluated and transported with moderate smoke inhalation.
