KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0822; 01:23PM; 18627 W Parthenia St; ; Northridge; Thirty-six firefighters responded to a one-story commercial automotive-related business with smoke showing. Firefighters identified an NFPA 704 Warning Placard (contains information about hazards inside) with a "no water use" warning on it. Firefighters made entry with dry chemical extinguishers, but found the smoke was due to a mechanical failure and the fire was already out, and declared a "knockdown" in 14 minutes. Firefighters ventilated the area to evacuate the smoke and potentially toxic fumes. There were no reported injuries.
