Knockdown - Structure Fire; INC#1420; 07:17PM; 566 S San Pedro St; ; Downtown; First arriving 40 LAFD Firefighters took just 14 minutes to access, confine and extinguish fire in one 3rd floor room at The Weingart Center, a 10 story residential high-rise providing transitional services to the homeless. Functional fire sprinklers held flames within the burning unit, as the fire alarm system alerted occupants of the 133,882 square-foot building in time to safely evacuate without injury. No injury reported.
