KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1288; 04:44PM; 4723 S Western Av; ; #VermontSquare; It took 40 firefighters 19 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish flames in one unit on the second floor of a two-story residential-over-commercial. Crews performed a coordinated vertical ventilation with interior fire attack to protect the adjacent units and achieve rapid extinguishment. No reported injuries.
