Media Advisory; 06:03PM; 8816 S Ramsgate Av; internal:/; Westchester / LAX Area; On March 28, 2018 at 1:50 AM, LAFD resources responded to a structure fire at 8816 S. Ramsgate Ave (Westchester), to find a one-story detached garage with fire showing. Firefighters made an aggressive attack. During the course of the incident a 41 year old female was rescued from the structure and transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Tragically she was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The preliminary cause of the fire is "accidental". The LAFD Arson/Counter-Terrorism Section personnel are continuing the investigation. The exact cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner - Coroner.; FS 95; Batt 4; West Bureau; Council District 11; Margaret Stewart
