Port Police requested LAFD to examine "several persons who have been ill" aboard a yet unidentified and currently docked cruise ship. A still being tabulated number of those desiring medical assessment or ambulance transport are being evaluated by LAFD Paramedics on shore as they disembark. None are currently displaying life-threatening symptoms. A total count of those ultimately transported by LAFD will be offered *at the conclusion of the incident*.
