Red Line TA or Vehic; INC#1140; 05:13PM; 662 S Alvarado St; ; Westlake; LAFD responded to the Redline (Westlake Station) for a reported fire. Once the tracks were de-energized, firefighters made their way approximately 3000 feet into the tunnel east of the station and located a small rubbish fire. They quickly extinguished the fire and made their way back to the platform. It will take some time for the control center to re-energize the tracks, consequently the station will be out of operation for approximately 1 hour. The 9-1-1 call was originally received at 4:32PM.
