Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0048; 12:48AM; 125 W Adams Bl; ; #HistoricSouth-Central; Vacant 2-story Craftsman-style home, fully
involved upon fire department arrival. Firefighters proceeded in defensive mode (without making entry into the structure) in the interest of safety; collapse of second floor occurred just prior to knockdown with no injuries to personnel. Exposed structures successfully defended, with fire fully extinguished in 23 minutes by first-arriving companies. Building and Safety notified and en route — firefighters remain on scene for overhaul.
