Structure Fire - Now Out (Fatality); INC#0066; 01:18AM; 121 N Mathews St; ; #BoyleHeights; Firefighters found a boarded-up one-story single-family residential structure with heavy smoke showing. Crews quickly made access and deployed hose lines inside the building. It took 34 firefighters 24 minutes (1:42am) to extinguish the flames. After eliminating the fire, crews performed a search of the interior and found one person deceased. Per protocol, LAFD Arson investigators have been summoned for a fire-cause investigation.
