Update STATIC SITUATION Technical Rescue; INC#0402; 09:58AM; 527 S Bixel St; ; #Westlake; At approximately 8:20 am it was reported that a 36 year old female was on demolition site of a former office building. She made her way down to an opening leading into a tunnel and was unable to exit. Upon making contact with patient she did not report and injury or medical complaint. After Urban Search and Rescue cut rebar to widen a clear path for better access they managed to extract the patient from the location by hoisting her up with a harness and specialized equipment. There are 40 LAFD firefighters assigned to this incident. It is reported that the patient does not have any injuries nor a medical complaint. However, she is being transported for further evaluation to a local area hospital. LAFD Public Information Officer is onscene. *Media staging - Approach from the North side at 5th St. and Bixel St. * No reported injuries.
