Update Structure Fire; INC#1283; 06:11PM; 911 N Griswold Av; ; City of San Fernando; Correct address confirmed as *911* North Griswold Ave. The fire began on the covered rear patio of the combination one- and two-story multi-family residence (1 story at the rear, 2 at the front; a former single family home subdivided to a residential fourplex), and minimally extended into the rear of the structure, There was no human injury. One pet cat was rescued from the smoke charged building by Firefighters and successfully resuscitated with oxygen. The search for two other felines in the building led to the sad discovery of one who was deceased. A whole-hearted search for the third cat continues. The cause of the fire is electrical, related to the charging of a large battery on the rear patio.
