Update Civilian Fatality Structure Fire; INC#1475; 09:30PM; 2850 W Riverside Dr; internal:/; Silver Lake; An elderly adult female resident was found dead in her charred apartment, which contained excessive personal storage; The apartment was equipped with a functional smoke alarm, which was sounding when firefighters arrived; The apartment was not equipped with optional residential fire sprinklers; There were no other injuries; The Mayor's Crisis Response Team is on scene to support the family and friends/neighbors; The woman's positive identity, as well as the cause, time and manner of her death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner - Coroner; Monetary loss from the fire is still being tabulated; The cause of the blaze remains under active investigation by LAFD Investigators; - Brian Humphrey
