Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1416; 10:15PM; 1824 W King Bl; ; Vermont Square; 46 LAFD firefighters responded to a 1,048 square-foot single-family home built in 1922, with a detached garage to the rear that was engulfed in flames. The fire spread to nearby vegetation. Firefighters divided the tasks and simultaneously extinguished the vegetation and the (defensive) garage fires in 22 minutes, protecting the nearby homes (only minor damage to the exterior of the home). There were no reported injuries.
