Firefighters commenced simultaneous fire attack and a search for victims on the floor below. No occupants found, no injuries reported. Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#1172; 04:30PM; 11677 W Sheldon St; ; Shadow Hills; One-story commercial structure with light smoke initially showing, confirmed to be a grow operation -- fire found burning through the roof in a rear corner of the building. Firefighters achieved extinguishment in 28 minutes, primarily via the roof, due to extensive interior access issues. LAFD Cannabis Unit and LAPD notified. The patient (initially estimated 35M, now confirmed ***25M***) transported in critical condition and one fatality (30M) were traveling in a van; two further fatalities (20M, 20F) were in a Ford Mustang; three patients in a third vehicle declined treatment and transport. PHYSICAL RESCUE - MULTIPLE FATALITY; INC#1831; 09:36PM; 9350 N Woodman Av; ; Panorama City; Three-car traffic collision with one patient (35M) trapped and three persons (demographics unknown at this time) determined deceased upon fire department arrival. Trapped patient extricated by fire companies and transported by paramedics to a local hospital. Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#1942; 09:45PM; 6351 N Woodman Av; ; Valley Glen; First-arriving companies found fire showing from the facade above a strip mall, reportedly spread from a dumpster fire — firefighters quickly coordinated fire attack and protection of the strip mall’s interior spaces. Rapid fire spread required companies to open the structure’s entire facade to ensure all flames were extinguished. Knockdown in 45 minutes with 63 firefighters working on scene. No injuries reported; cause under active investigation. This structure is a previous burn prompting firefighters to work in defensive mode (no inside work/no roof work). The structure has multiple surrounding exposures, which firefighters are protecting from impingement. 58 firefighters accomplished a knockdown of the fire in 21 minutes. No damage to any surrounding structures. No injuries reported. Cause of fire is unknown.
