Greater Alarm Fire Damages Winnetka Strip Mall

WINNETKA-
It took more than 100 firefighters to extinguish a greater alarm fire late Saturday night at a west San Fernando Valley strip mall.
The was summoned at 11:01 PM on July 22, 2017 to in , where firefighters arrived quickly to find heavy fire showing from a one story 4,452 square foot, on the northeast corner of Sherman Way and De Soto Avenue.
One hundred and one firefighters under the command of Assistant Chief Andrew Fox confined the fire to the extensively damaged building of fire origin, extinguishing the flames in just 36 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
Fire loss to Ladin's Liquor Delicatessen, , , and Raspados Y Churros Frutal is still being tabulated. The cause of the early morning fire remains under active investigation.
