LAFD Battles Arson Blaze at South L.A. Marijuana Dispensary

SOUTH LOS ANGELES-

It took the combined effort of more than 100 firefighters to extinguish a greater alarm fire at a medical marijuana dispensary early Tuesday morning.

The was notified at 3:40 AM on September 1, 2015 of a structure fire at  in , where firefighters arrived quickly to find a well-secured one story building with smoke showing. Witnesses described a loud sound - possibly an explosion, within the building, prior to noting the fire. 

One hundred and four firefighters under the command of LAFD Assistant Chief Donald Frazeur skilfully confined the fire within the of fire origin, extinguishing the flames in just 46 minutes. 

No injuries were reported.

Fire loss to  is still being tabulated. The cause of the fire was determined to be arson.
