Second Fire At South L.A. Building Spreads To Destroy Adjacent Church

CHESTERFIELD SQUARE-
The ÃûæÂÖ±²¥ battled a greater alarm fire that destroyed a church early Thursday morning, having spread from an adjacent building used by the congregation, the scene of a separate fire late Tuesday night.
The latest fire was reported at 3:18 AM on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at in the neighborhood of Los Angeles.
It took 83 LAFD responders under the command of Assistant Chief Douglas Lewis, 77 minutes to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported. The cause of both fires remain under active investigation.
