COMPLETED Public Advisory; 01:00PM; Temescal Ridge Trail; ; #SantaMonicaMountains; On the morning of April 30, 2025, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) concluded fire testing along the Temescal Ridge Trail in the Santa Monica Mountains. A systematic post-test walk-through confirmed all materials were cold and extinguished. ATF and the ÃûæÂÖ±²¥ (LAFD) would like to thank the public for their cooperation during these operations. PUBLIC ADVISORY - 04/29/2025

PUBLIC ADVISORY - ; 09:15AM; Temescal Ridge Trail; ; #SantaMonicaMountains; The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will be conducting controlled fire testing in the Santa Monica Mountains along Temescal Ridge Trail between Skull Rock and Green Peak. The testing is set to occur during the evening of Tuesday, April 29 through Thursday, May 1. While this scientific testing will periodically include open flame in a small area that may be visible at a distance, it does not involve the burning of vegetation. ÃûæÂÖ±²¥ personnel will be present before, during, and after all testing to ensure public safety and environmental protection. During this time period, there is no cause for public concern, or need to report the small testing flames that may be periodically visible near Tesmescal Ridge to 9-1-1. Due to the remote terrain and logistics, there are no provisions for media or public access, and aircraft / drone pilots are instructed to follow any FAA issued restrictions for the area. One or more lanes of the westbound Foothill Freeway may be temporarily closed until the CHP investigation, vehicle removal and Caltrans debris cleanup are complete. Vehicle Fire 04/27/2025 INC#0824

Vehicle Fire; INC#0824; 02:21PM; WB 210 Fwy east of Sunland Blvd; ; #Sunland; PRELIM: LAFD with neighboring Glendale firefighters in automatic aid, battling a semi-truck tractor well involved with fire. Though flames had spread to nearby vegetation, the (undetermined size) vegetation fire is now contained, with flames largely prevented from damaging the trailer with undetermined cargo. The firefight continues, with two or more lanes of the westbound Foothill Freeway temporarily closed by CHP until firefighting operations are complete. Firefighters conducted an investigation and located a contents fire on the 2nd floor. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0308; 07:14AM; 1160 E 120th St; ; #GreenMeadows; KNOCKDOWN: 32 LAFD firefighters plus #LACoFD E41 BC7 extinguished the fire in 18 minutes with no injuries reported. The boarded up building contained three units and the fire was held to the center unit.
